The Meaning of Popularity

For those of you out there, there are two meanings of popularity that people often get confused with. The first one is the most one people think of, it is.......Being a "prep" and thinking your better than everyone else, you get watever you want, andyou THINK people think your some kindove godess. The other meaning that not many people think about is popularity means wanting to be well liked, wanting to be everyones friend, and wanting to be well thought of. I want to be the second kind of popular. Its something i strive for in life. It helps me be the best person i can be.

Now, im not going to lie. My first few years at middle school I was not any of those things. No one knew who i was, no one really liked me, and i wasnt really idk with it. My last year at middle school i stirved to be the best i could be and to make as many people as possible to like me. And i succeded. Now granted, not everyone can like you, but for the majority im pretty well liked. The reason i wanted to write this post was to prove that wanting to be the second kind of popular isnt a bad thing.

Now, like i said before, not everyone is alwayz going to like you. And i know two that dont. But thats okay. I hope they seee this and stop and think, and realize everything they have said, the things they have done, the people they have hurt, and how to make a real, sincere, loving apology. And if they do that i hope they realize that they have to respect the decisions that are made and the consequences.

I know it has been forver, since i last updated its just thi ssummer has been so BUSY! Its just crazy. I hope you all are having a fun summer and getting to go to lots of pools and beaches :] I know i have. WEll, obviously school is out and the kast day was very emotional. Me and my friends sobbed for hours on the last day and kept giving each other hugs. It was EXTREMELY sad. I just cant believe Im going to be a freashman in highschool. It shocks me everytime. But i am excited. I know high school will be fun!

Okay, this summer holly and i went on a a retreat with our church. I had the most fun of my life there. I was totally upset that my parents where making me go on this thing. And then when i found out it was a 10 and a half hour bus ride, it didnt get much better! And then the first day, i got sick and threw up 21 times. It was not good. And then we decided just to stay away from all meats becuase I got food posioning. Anyway, it was an ah-mazing experience that i will never forget and i feel like a new person.

I also have been confirmed into my church and i have some really good pictures from that, that i will be posting soon.
I also have some good pictuers from formal. I am excited to say, i was crowned queen, of the 2008 formal. I have some pictures of me and my crown! I will also be posting those.

Anyway, pretty much since then nothing new has happened, just same old same old. Beach, gym, friends, pool, shopping, babaysitting, sleeping in late, vacation, and tutoring (unfortunantly).

Oh, and by the way my team took 3rd at state. We are only a rec team and all the others were classic and challenge and we did so well. We all were very proud!

Okay, well is there really such thing as a shopiholic? I have these sudden urges to just randomly go out and shop until I have no money left and that is NOT a good thing. I have been shopping everyday since Friday and the scary factor I have bought tons of stuff everytime! It is crazy......does anyone else have this problem. Its like if I dont see anything I like but I have money I just freak out and buy something Im not even that crazy about. Liek today I had money left so I went in this random store and I bought a dress I didnt even like. So, I am going to take it back...do you think there is therapy for something like this :) Anyway, I went to Charleston this past weekend and it was lots of fun. Any way the winner of last weeks quiz was Hannah Montana with Nobody's Perfect with 7 votes, 43%. Which Ill admit, I voted for but I love all of those songs. Should've Said No by Taylor Swift came in second with 6 votes, 37%. Then Shwty Get Loose by Lil Mama with 3 votes, 18%. Last, Stay by Sugarland with 0 votes. It was a close one! Make sure to take the next one which I am not sure what it will be yet. If you have any suggestions please leave me a comment. Also, any suggestions for teh shopiholic anyone elese have the same problem....please say Im not the only one out there with this problem :)

OMG! I was over at Holly's house and all the sudden BAM!!!!! Holly goes look up. I looked up and saw huge black birds circling over Holly's house. Little gracie started yelling and then out of no where the birds swopped down and and was probably 8 feet above us and we freakin freaked! Holly ran little gracie up to the poarch saying "dont worry hunny I will protect you." I was like "What about me Holly?" Holly's response was "Oh you will be fine..grab her turtle shoes." Yeah, thanks Holly! I appriciate it! NOT! Finally, after 10 to 15 minutes on the poarch they slowly went away. The bird also had a posse. Yes, creapy, I know. Well, how are you guys....any new concearns? Everything is pretty good. Lilly made sunrise singers but they didnt have enough people try out so thats the only reason why she made it....anyway, we will support her anyway. I will be leaving for Charleston soon where we will celebrate Easter there. Also, I would also like to wish you all a Happy St. Patricks Day!

I did a text above that will always be up there....however, I heart ached so bad for this family I had to do a post for them. I dont know how many of you all have been to jodiegirl.blogspot.com but her little boy, Tyler, has been diagnosed with lukemia. I feel for them....I really do. My parents are always telling me that they wouldnt know what to do if something were to happen to me or lilly....I know everything is going to get better though....I just know! So my prayers are with you Tyler! Get better soon!

Hangin With Holly and Egg Babies

Hey Guys!

Well first I am going to tell you all about my egg baby! In my health class we got an hard boiled egg that we had to carry around all day. To lunch, recess, to any other classes. It was a pain. You did get a grade on this project. Well, for lunch I didnt know what to do with my egg baby, Cracky Smacky Jr. so I put him in my lunch box with my friend's Natalie's egg, Stanley. Well, halfway through I took them out and Natalie's was cracked...and I mean REALLY cracked. So she started yelling at me and finally I said will you chill if I drop mine and yes, to get her to calm down I dropped mine. One of my friends died laughing as he picked it up. It was smashed to pieces. However, I had dropped it twice before then. So then later that day my teacher knocked it off my desk....so then it was pretty much dead......great huh! Hey You Guys.....

I HAVE BEEN SICK AND IT STINKS REALLY BAD!!!! Saturday night I had a really high fever and we couldnt get it to go down so my parents gave me advil and made me get in a FREEZING tub to try and get me to cool down......finally about 3 hours later I felt much better and it was down to 100. However, little Gracie, Holly's sister has a really bad sickness and I am sure Holly will soon post it on her blog....so please send kinds thoughts toward Holly and her family and of course Gracie. Now my cimputer got screwed up so I never was really able to finish it so here is my lat post, that I really nevered finished.........

I miss you all soooo much but I have a few announcments. I would like to congratulate Holly and her family on their anniversary for "Gotcha Day." Also, this Saturday it will be my parents anniversary. Seventeen Years! WOW! Any way I got an incredible camra for Christmas and I have some really good pictures......

On Saturday my dad took me and my friend Natalie shopping. I tried to tell him NO to these ugly shoes below but he just thought they were soooooo cool! Oh well, he bought me a shirt and some jewelery so I figure......if he wants to get the shoes fine as long as he doesnt wear them around me.

My sister and I went to my grandparents lastnight and I made a pie.....It didnt come out to hott! ;)

OMG! Emergency Room.....

Okay well, this Thursday and Friday have been so interesting....I could right a thousand page book on just these two days. Well on Thursday, my mom, my sister Lilly, Holly, and I went to Charleston to visit my grandparents....Well, it all started when we had just pulled out of the neighborhood when my mom realized she had forgotten her running shoes. It went down hill from there. I am going to list all the adventures we had in these two days. We had a lot of fun it was just well, very eventful.....

1. My mom recieved a speeding ticket on the way there....she is very safe driver she just happened to be going 71 mph in a 55 mph zone.
2. Holly and I were riding bikes and her phone beeped so she pulled it out of her pocket and then crashed her bike right into mine. Thanks Holly!
3. I had an allergic reaction to something. We dont know if it was the soap I used or something I ate but I was very scary....lucky for me I didnt have to go to the hospital though!
4. We went to Target and I got an icee. All the sudden it started spewing everywhere like a valcano.
5. After we finished the icees, I accidently through it in the hangers only box.
6. My grandparents have an elevator in there house and it needed to be oiled well, Holly, my mom, and I got stuck. It was extremely scary!
7. Then Holly couldnt get her mascara of her face! It was a disaster! My mom took her to Belk's and bought her some EASY WASH OFF mascara! We still love you Holly!~
8. Then I thought I saw a whale when we past over the bridge! They kept making fun of me but I know I saw one.....
9. And then I thought I saw Corbin Bleu.....My mom thinks I had to much coke.....
10. Well, Then half way home I had to go. I mean REAL bad. And Holly and Lilly were like....water, water, drip, drip and then they read a book that had moat in it about 30,000 TIMES!!!! Finally we stopped at McDonald's and I used the bathroom.

None of these events compare to what happen at around 9:00 last night on Friday. My mom walked into the room and when I looked at her I saw something was wrong. I started to worry but I kept calm. My mom sat down and got her blood pressure scale thing and took her blood pressure. My mom looked at me and said call 911. I started walking over to the phone and then the garage door opened....My dad was home. I ran and told him what was happening and he rushed inside. My mom looked at him and said call 911. He looked at her and said, no Im driving you there. Bad words were spewing out of his mouth and before I knew it one or two spilled out of my mouth also. I remember the exactly dialouge. My mom said Im going to pass out. I said No Way! And mumbled something under my breath and my dad looked at me and said Excuse me? I replied, "There is no time for this." He agreed carried my mom to the car and said call Diane, Holly's mom. I said, "Okay and call us!" And he floored that range rover out of the garage before you could say ER! I ran upstais called Diane and she said she would be there in a minute to get us. Lilly grabbed her shoes and her teddy I grabbed my purse, phone, and key and we ran down stairs to wait for Ms. Diane. I was trying not to cry unlike Lilly who was balling her eyes out. I couldnt imangine my life without my mom. I A tear went down my face. Just then I looked down at my sister and she wasnt breathing. I sat her down and made her take deep breaths and I looked at her and said, "Whatever the hec they teach you at that Christian school you better start using it now." And she cryed more I scopped her up in a hug and ran outside when I saw Ms. Diane's car. Lilly was crying histartically and she sat in Holly's lap and just cried. I was doing my best not to cry. Then Ms. Diane took us to her house. About 30 minutes later the phone rang. I had waited so long for this call but yet I dreaded it wondering what might be waiting for Lilly and I on the other line. My dad told Ms. Diane that she was fine and that she would be home soon. My mom came home and we hugged her and told her how much we loved her....we couldnt believe this really happened....so how long do you think the book could be.

I want my mom to know that I love her very much and that I will always cherish her and I couldnt ask for a more kinder, caring, loving mother! I love you!

How are you guys? I've missed you all. Things have been pretty busy here, so much homework, extra curricular activites, and annoying teachers (cough, cough Mrs. J). This year is so much different. I miss my teachers from 7th grade. My math teacher is pretty cool. Well lets just say my Language Arts teacher....well no comment, I like her but she has some real, and I mean REAL corny jokes. My social studies teacher is pretty cool, we don't do anything in there, that's why I like his class. Now Mrs. J is the problem. She and my dad Have known each other for a long time. The week before school started I said "I can't wait to meet Mrs. J, I'm sure she'll be nice to me." Well, I was mistaken. She doesn't act fair towards me. I've told my dad about it and he said that just to let it rest and if it keeps happening, to tell him. Now, granted she is a teacher, and I have to respect her, but it doesnt mean I have to be best friends with her. However, no one takes advantage of me.....I am my own person and just because someone, not only Ms. J, knows my dad, doesn't mean they are going to use that agasint me.....

On a more brighter note, my sister christmas play was this week and she was FABTASTIC! However, when her gym teacher dicieded to sing opera, thats when it got UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her basketball game is today, so I hope she does well! :)

Holly and I spent the night on Friday and watched the movie December Boys with Daniel Radcliffe in it. OMG! It is my NEW FAV MOVIE!!!! It was so good yet so sad. Ot has a little bit of everything in it. Well, I need to get dressed for my sister's basketball game! (Wish us luck)

Its Breast Cancer awareness month! Support anyone you know that has it or has overcome it! Some of my blogger buddies have this disease. If you know who I am talking about go leave them a wonderful comment~ I am going to tell you all a few things that has happened to me lately. Today is officially (at my school at least) "Breast Cancer" day. Our school was overflowing with pink. Surprisingly lots of guys were wearing pink. Another thing, my dad is a doctor who takes care of patients that have breast cancer and October is the official Breast Cancer month. I am born in October and it may sound kindove lame but I think I was born in this month for a reason! Think Pink!

I know that I said I was going to post some more Vermont pictures but I havent had time! I will just post them when I need something to update. Well these past few weeks have been hectic. I did good visiting some new blogs today and if I havent been to yours leave me a comment.

My Grandpa was very tired and he went to the doctor. He has been diagnosed with diabetes. They are not sure on all the details. My grandma has been really upset and doesnt want to talk about it. Its been really hard on my mom becuase its her dad and her mom isnt doing well either. I hope everything will work out.

I will try and blog tonight, welll have to see, I am been up for 17 hours and 47 minutes.........I am draggin! Well, have a nice Sunday. Enjoy :)

There is something I need to bring to everyones attention. People have been dissing my school becuase it is public. It has got to stop! I am sick of it.........If you have said stuff about my school on how it is bad or something bad about public highschools then you need to stop. Christian Schools, Private School, and Public Schools are all equal. They all have ups and downs. Just becuase you go to a Christian school does not mean that you are saved. That doesnt mean that you are going to Heaven. You have to ask God into heart. I am just as Christian like as kids at the Christian school. However, being a Christian and then going and badmouthing schools is not christian.....it is called being a hypocrtie. My parents sent where the best education was for me. Another thing, there are no bad kids, only bad parents. Kids arent born bad. It is wrong to assume someone is bad if you dont know there home life. I am tired of having to put up with all kinds of crap (some people may call that a public school word....EXAMPLE! We all let it slip sometimes). There are also some trubled kids at Chritian and Private schools. Another point, just becuase there are all Christians at your school doesnt mean everyone is good. There are bad people out there, unfortunatley. The next person I hear that disses ANY public school, I am going to stand up for myself. I am sick of it. One last point.........someone I know that goes there made a rasist comment and I pointed it out to them........they qoute, "Its in the bible, thats what they teach us." Now I am not perfect but I have NEVER heard the lesson on how public schools are bad.......or that being a different color is bad. Well, leave me you opinion. If I think of any other points or examples I will post them. Thanks..........

We went on a horse and carrage ride and toured the grounds. We stayed and Smuggs Resort and it was so much fun!! I recommend it to all families. Hope you enjoy the pictures...

Kenny Chesney Concert!

I am very excited to tell you that I went to the Kenny Chesney Concert last night in Raliegh, but boy am I dragging we got home at 1:32 in the morning, now dont get me wrong I usually go to bed at 2 in the morning, but when you are in the car it feels like 6 in the morning. Well, I will explain more as you scroll down.

Lilly had her swim team championships today! She decided to take a nap in the car. Boy was she tired.

We tailgated at the concert and it was fun. We all had sanwhiches, potato skins, and cookies. Lots of other things to. It was a lot of fun. However, by the time I got out my camra to take pictures, my mom went back to the front seat to fishish her book. It was obviously just a cant-put-it-down kindove story! But tailgating was definently and adventure, seeing how I had never done it before! (For those who dont know what it is it is when you eat a meal in the back of your car. I didnt know what it was either. Dont feel bad)

Sugarland opened for Kenny Chesney and she was AWESOME!!!!!! I think Kenny Chesney should be opening for her. She was really entertaining and had a great voice. Her guitar player was really good too!!!! Below was the banner that they had out before she came on stage.

Sorry I havent updated in a while! I have been really busy!!! I went to the midnight madness Harry Potter book thing to get my book. We left somewhere around 9:30, seeing how our parents took a long and steady supper ;)! When we got there they had tons of activities and we did them all! Yes, I am sad to admit I have recieved braces. However, on the bright side they arent as bad as I thought they would be. I couldnt recieve the color brackets. Something to do with the new braces. However, my teeth are sore, but I managed a smile for the pictures. Oh yeh, sorry about the white numbers on the side! Thanks for the kind regards on getting my teeth pulled! Love you all!

Holly, her mom, Ms. Caudill, and her brother, Ryan invited me to go with them to Virginia to get their little Annie and let me tell you, she is one sweet puppy! I mean look at that face. The breeder had grown dogs and puppies she had a ton and definently loved they all. I mean she had at least 25 and they all had a name and she even remembered it. However, I feel in love with someone very special. His name is big boy and he is beyond precious! However, his real name is Tony. I can eat him up and if you havent guessed it, which I am sure you have, he is a dog. I nick named him Big Boy because well he is a big boy. I am doing a whole heck of a lot to convince my parents to go get him. However, I have to start by earning a thousand dollars, but I mean, no sweat, RIGHT??? He is my baby and I am going to do whatever it takes to get him.I really did connect with him and Holly and her family had to litterally force me to let him go :( However, it would have been really cool if I could have gotten him because he was Annie's brother!

Hey Guys. I have some news to share with you. I went to the orthodontist the other day and I have to get a tooth pulled. I am very nervous! I have never had one pulled. You may think I am a whimp and yes I am but thats besides the point. So after I have that done. On July 11th, to add more to my stress, I am getting braces! To make it even more miserable, they dont think I can where the colored brackets which has pushed me too far! I am going to get colors if I want! UHH! Yuck. Oh well. Lol. I put the sunflower on here becuase it makes me happy! However once I get my braces, I dont think I will be smiling like Mr. Smily over there. How bout you?

About the pictures I will get to them soon. Lilly has another swim meet tonight! Wish her luck! Ill take pictures there!

Father's Day Fun

For Father's Day Lilly, Daddy and I went out to breakfast. We got him a ice cream maker and a shirt from Banks.

Summer

I dont know about you gusy but my summer has been so relaxing, yet eventful, yet so much FUN! Summer is one of those times to regroup and get ready for next year! I always use to take all those days of summer for grantite yet, when school starts back I will miss these long, hazy, and relaxing days. However, I have something very important to say. Today I meet this girl that changed my life (well in a way) I guess my perspective. She said, "Everyday is what you make it. It can have potential or it can be made into waste. However, there are only so many days. In the end, which one wins. Does the potential one win or the wasty cruddy ones win?" This girl is only 9 years old. However, that made a big impact on me and also showed that just becuase your young doesnt mean you cant make sense. I guess she taught me that to make each day as great as possible and dont complain and dont let any of it go to waste! I will always remember this moment and the words she said, just like it was yesterday. Take these words into mind and I bet it will make a big differnece!

Well, where to start. My mom and my sister Lilly, decided to go to Charleston to visit our family down there. I decided to stay home with my dad and I am sure glad I did. We had lots of fun! First we decided to do our "chores" that my mom asked us to do. Then we went and took my dog belle for a bath. There is a special place where I live. It's called something, anyway I don't remember. However, they have personal tubs for your dog. Many of you may be under the impression that our dog is spoiled. But she is not. You see she sheds like crazy and we dont have any where to bath her. Outside was to hot!!!!!!!!!! After that, we took her home and then we went out to lunch a Quiznos. Then we came home took a shower made our beds and went shopping. I went to the bookstore and got 2 new books for me and got 2 for my sister. I know I get the good deed award for the day! Ha ha ha! Then we went to Claries. Well, you know how the give free ear-peircing well, they were peircing someones ear and I literally fainted. I got real peaked and real dizzy. I had to leave the store.

After that we went to Hallmark and I got an Vere Bradley Purse. (see above) Then we came home, I watched Stick-it and then we went to dinner with my grandparents here. Well here are some pictures of todays journey.

Kristen and Hannah-Kate Lilly (my sister) was balling. She didn't want to leave her favorite teacher in the "whole wide world." Ms. Mandy was an awesome teacher Lilly said. My mom promised her that Lilly that she could come over for dinner one night! Lilly even made me, my mom, Holly(we picked her up early), and Ms. Mandy cry!

I had a pool party tonight for Ms. Cammie and her family. We wish them the best of luck in Georgia and their new home. I got to watch Caroline, Madison, Maggie, Lanie, Charley, William, and Owen. They all are very sweet kids and I am so glad I got to spend time with them and live so close to them! I had a lot of fun. There was pizza, soda, snacks, and all kinds of desserts! It did thunder and lightning for a little while, but it was still fun and we got in shortly after the "storm" was over. I have some very important news but I need my memory card which is at home and I am at holly's so youll have to wait until tomorrow! However, I will write about something else! Can you believe I have one day of school left? I am so relieved yet so sad. Some of the people at school are friends that I just see there and I wont see them for a long time! I am going to cry-(not really)- but it is sad! Julia I hope you have fun in DC! Amanda I hope you have fun too! Have a great summer you guys and be careful and get rested for next ear! Eighth Grade watch out, here I come. However, I would like to congrat Holly on making a fabulous grade on her EOC for algerbra! Congrats, I knew you would do well! So tune in tomorrow! While Ms. Diane, Ms. Kristen and Ms. Creigh went shopping Holly and I where responsible for the girls. It started out easy because they were sleeping. However, Kaylie woke up about 30 minutes earlier than Gracie so Holly and I snapped some pictures! We had so much fun especially in the pool! We sure loved babysitting them and would do it any time. Kaylie is so funny and sweet and it was such a priviledge to meet her and her mom and aunt. They were very nice and I hope to see them very soon! They were great to hang out with!

*My mom is well how do I say this nicley, A HEALTH OBBSESSIOR! I love her anyway its just that she is well, I think, a little over board with this whole health kick!

I have asmatha. It isnt bad anymore but at one point it was terrible! I was in intensive care for I think 2 weeks.

*I had pneumonin.(I hope that is spelled right%^)It was really bad and they poked a whole through my lung when trying to fix it! Im a.o.k now.

*Another thing you may not know is that my sister was born on my first day of Kindergarten!

*I also love and devour mighty bit treats and klondike bars! The mighty bar treats are made of mightbite treats, cherrios, granola, and marshmellows! They are so yummy! Klondike bars its a long story! Also you can use fruities, gum, and skittles to impress me.

*I will only marry a guy who is rich (and i mean seriously loaded) or he has to have a future!

*Well, I am a lot of sports fan teams so I like all South Carolina and North Carolina teams! But I usually always go for Panthers and/or Packers! Pro football baby!

*Another thing you may not know is that I am smart even though at school I am called a "blonde"!~ They just joke around though!

Have you ever been so mad at someone, you want to punch them in the gut. Well I have felt this way
previously. I wanted to just smack her, but I kept my cool. We fight back and forth back and forth, but we would get over it, but never solve it. Sometimes friendships work out and sometimes they dont, it depends on how much you have in common. But a true friendship is working together to become friends and get over your diferences or disagreements. Me and my friend havent made up yet, but we will probably do it soon. However, it takes time to patch up some of the hurtful things that were said but in the end,
everything will work out for the best! However, their are times when their is so much hurt and anger you cant get over it. Give it some time, then see how you feel!
